Shaken, not stirred!
That's how James Bond orders his favorite vodka martinis for more than 50 years now.
Ok, this has nothing to do with best martini recipes, but as a real James Bond fan who has watched all the movies several times and even got the DVD Collection as a birthday present, I just had to include it :-)
The best Martini recipes should include either gin or vodka and dry vermouth. Otherwise most bartenders will tell you it's not a "real" Martini cocktail.
Given the bitter taste of vermouth, Martini is a very strong cocktail, that not many persons like.
With our recipes you can give it an easier and lighter touch by adding fresh strawberries or syrup.
These Martini recipes are real treats for strawberry fans and James Bond fans as well. Try and you will see!
Ingredients
- 2 oz vodka
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon blackcurrant liqueur
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 5 fresh fresh strawberries
Directions
Crush strawberries in cocktail shaker, then shake the other ingredients with cubed ice and strain. Garnish with a whole strawberry.
Serve in Martini glasses.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Gin or vodka
- 1 teaspoon Dry Vermouth
- 1 teaspoon Grenadine
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 5 strawberries
Directions
Crush strawberries. Pour gin or vodka, vermouth, and grenadine into a mixing glass with plenty of ice, and stir.
Rub rim of chilled martini glass with a cut strawberry. Dip rim into a bowl of sugar until evenly coated.
Strain into martini glass and drop in a strawberry for decoration.
Serve in Martini glasses.

- 1 teaspoon dry vermouth
- 1 teaspoon strawberry syrup
Directions
Stir all ingredients and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.Decorate with a fresh strawberry.
