Strawberry Recipes, Issue #38 - Strawberry Pizza June 10, 2007 |
The Ezine For Every Strawberry Lover!June, 10th 2007 Issue # 38 Hello, Thanks to my reader Arline, I can now harvest my self-grown strawberries, before the birds do so :-) She recommended placing a rubber snake besides the plants, because it'll scare the birds away. And believe it or not, it really works! For now at least, maybe with the time the birds will get used to this non-moving snake that keeps them away from my strawberries. But by then, I'll think of something else. Another big thanks to Arline, for the delicious Strawberry Pizza recipe, she sent me. If you too, have a favorite recipe, you want me to publish, just send it by replying to this newsletter. Enjoy the good weather and your strawberries! Strawberry Pizza Sounds odd, but tastes sooooo great! Surprise your family and friends with something new and unusual.

Directions Pad dough out in a 14-inch pizza pan. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for ten minutes or until light brown. Combine cream cheese, condensed milk, lemon juice and vanilla extract. Mix well and spread on cooled crust. Chill for at least 1 hour. Meanwhile combine sugar and cornstarch in a large saucepan, add water and mix until smooth. Cook mixture over medium heat until thickened, while constantly stirring. (approx. 5 minutes.) Half strawberries and put into mixture. Cool completely and carefully spread over cream cheese layer.
