The Ezine For Every Strawberry Lover!June 6, 2005 Issue # 12 Hello, Please help me with two questions and enter into the drawing of 10 free Strawberry-Recipes E-books.
Even Three Star Gourmet Chefs have identified the benefits of Strawberries. Below you will find two recipes from famous German chef Schuhbeck. By the way, he recommends using only local grown fresh strawberries, because they are much tastier and more aromatic than the imported ones. Marinated Strawberries Ingredients - 2 cups fresh strawberries Directions Cut the strawberries into quarters and sprinkle them with sugar. Leave for a couple of minutes before sprinkling with lemon juice and orange liqueur. Substitute the orange liqueur with orange juice for kids. For a special taste: add some fresh spearmint. They marinated strawberries will taste best at room temperature.
Mint-Chocolate-Mousse with Marinated Strawberries Ingredients - 2 cups whipped cream Directions Cut mint chocolate into small pieces. Bring to a boil whipped cream and take immediately off the heat. Pour in mint chocolate while constantly mixing with a hand mixer. Refrigerate mousse for one day. Whip again for about one minute. Form globes with a hot, wet spoon. Decorate dessert plates with mousse globes, marinated strawberries and white chocolate chips. Directions for marinated strawberries as above.
These recipes are a bit complicated (they must, because they are from a Gourmet Chef!). Practice them at least once before inviting guests.
